Aromas of spicy strawberry and candied walnuts moving into slight clove and pencil lead. As the wine opens up, the nose is hints of red fruit transitioning into a touch of smoke and dustiness.


On the palate, the wine is flavorful, full of fresh strawberry moving into a chewy, rustic red berry/red fruit finish.


June 2013


The fruit was cluster sorted before undergoing a two-day cold soak. After inoculation with a French yeast strain, the wine underwent small-batch fermentation, with gentle pumpovers 2-3 times each day. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel, and was racked twice before bottling in June 2013. The wine aged in our cellar until its release in October 2015.
