Nose

The nose is wild, spicy, fruity, gamy and meaty.

Palate

The palate is rich, luscious and packed with black fruits. While perhaps less floral than past iterations, our latest bottling of Dolcino Rosso is incredibly rich, chewy and sensuous.

Growing Conditions

Much of the fruit for this bottling came from our estate Marcucchi Vineyard in Carneros just north of San Pablo Bay near the small town of Schellville. Here, the sandy, alluvial soils provide excellent drainage while temperatures are moderated by the morning and evening fog and strong winds that blanket the region.

Winemaking

After harvest the grapes were destemmed, crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. All of the individual lots were vinified and aged separately until the final lot was determined. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks.

Appearance

A deep, dark color.
