Winemakers across Napa Valley reported another stellar harvest for 2016. Bud break began early due to a warm spring, and the summer then brought moderate daytime temperatures with cool evenings. Harvest started early, in mid-August, and progressed at a steady pace. October ushered in a few rain showers that put a swift end to a successful harvest.


Our Abela Red Wine represents a unique opportunity to experience a limited release Napa Valley red blend that is crafted from Estate-grown fruit. While the Rutherford appellation is celebrated for producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, we have meticulously selected and cultivated clones of several other red varietals that are ideally suited to the Estate’s terroir. For the 2016 vintage, we paired Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon to create an elegant and distinctive blend.
