Nose
Bright raspberry and cassis aromas that open beautifully with some time in the glass.
Palate
Undertones of tobacco leaf and mocha emerge with integrated vanilla tones. Well structured with elegance and class and a lingering finish.
Growing Conditions
Bud break and slow ripening through June led into a period of intense heat in the middle of July. We had not yet trimmed back the canopy which protected the developing bunches from the sun while the long hours of sunlight contributed ripeness. A moderate August brought development back to a slow and steady pace leading into an extended harvest.
