The palate is fat, but weightless with an ethereal and sensuous texture and incisive flavors.The finish is complex, long and mineral.

Growing Conditions

2016 The Sage is sourced from Old Wente clone Chardonnay vines planted in the early 1980's in hillside gravel and sand soils near the Russian River. The 35 year-old vines give the wines beautiful length and a layered texture, while the Old Wente character keeps the wine citrus-oriented.
