Palate
Ripe fruit coupled with beautifully toasted new French oak make this wine scream of chocolate covered plums and chocolate drizzled strawberries. The cocoa then gives way to the smell of a fresh baked boysenberry pie—perhaps one sitting on a window sill above a bed of aromatic roses. An incredibly balanced wine, just before the finish, it hints at the iron-rich earth in which it was grown. Then, slowly, it fades, leaving you with just a memory of sweet oak and ripe fruit.
