This vintage exhibits a commanding presence, beginning with a powerful attack and following through to a restrained and lengthy finish.

Growing Conditions

The concentrated fruit came from the Ladera parcel, where a steep north-facing slope helps stress the vines. This year marked a shift in style with the Gaston wines, which grew in power and grace.
