Palate

This is pedal-to-the-medal Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep purple in color, with rich, sweet blackcurrants and black berry fruit, a long, concentrated mouthfeel, beautifully sweet, integrated tannin and no real evidence of oak, although it’s probably 100% new cooperage. This is a beauty, full-bodied, and a stunning wine. Drink it over the next 15 years. - Wine Advocate

Growing Conditions

“Early, even and excellent” are three words being used to describe this year’s growing season… A warm, dry spring brought early bud break, helped with canopy vigor and berry size and created ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set under sunny skies. With the exception of one heat spike in late June/early July, temperatures were consistently in the zone for optimal vine activity, resulting in notably healthy vines as fruit went through veraison and started ripening.
