Growing Conditions

A judicious blend of the “best of the best” barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate vineyards in Oakville, St. Helena and Knights Valley. High density planting results in competition among the vines, while 3 1/4 x 6 foot spacing facilitates proper airflow. With meticulous attention to detail, our dedicated year-round farming team diligently tends to our vines. Our sustainable farming practices include: organic farming, soil cultivation and no use of herbicides.

Harvest

Hand-picked at night in 35-pound lugs, the grapes are transported to the winery exclusively in our refrigerated trucks. Thus, freshness and aromatics are preserved.

Bottling

Unfined & unfiltered

Winemaking

Native yeast & native lactic bacteria; Natural fermentation occurs in French oak puncheons and small capacity stainless steel tanks.

Aging

Sixteen to eighteen months exclusively in French oak barrels from select artisan coopers.
