Nose

On the nose, you’ll detect raspberry, a kiss of pomegranate, and floral aromas.

Palate

The 2016 Metaphora Rosé of Pinot Noir has a concentration of complex berry fruit, accentuated with flavors of Bing and black cherries, cranberry, and a long strawberry finish. A lively acidity rounds out the finish.

Growing Conditions

The 2013 Metaphora Rosé of Pinot Noir is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown in the cool temperatures of the Carneros region of Napa Valley bordering San Pablo Bay, and from grapes grown in the cooler regions of Napa Valley’s Atlas Peak, at an elevation of over 2000 feet.

The refined flavors and textures of this wine, combined with its power and grace, give it a distinct Burgundian character. This Rosé is modeled on the charms of the Loire Valley Rosés, such as Touraine, Anjou, Amboise, and with the lovely weight and richness of Sancerre rouge Rosé.
