The 2014 Napa Valley Chardonnay is made with grapes from vineyards along the Napa River in the Oak Knoll District using both Dijon 95 and Wente clones. Fertile, but well-drained soils with a morning fog layer provide perfect slow growing conditions for optimal Chardonnay flavor development.
This wine was barrel fermented in 40% new French Oak with the remainder in neutral barrels. The wine experienced full malolactic fermentation and was aged sur lies for 15 months before being bottled in February 2016.
