Palate

Delicate cherry flavors highlight a deeply complex wine, which melts into a lingering fruit and delectable spice notes. This Pinot Noir is rich with fruit tones of dark cherry, strawberry, and red currant as well as attractive oak notes such as caramel, cinnamon, and a hint of clove. Supple, matured tannins add depth to this well balanced Pinot Noir.

Winemaking

The grapes were hand-picked at the peak of ripeness. We destem the clusters and then cold soaked for 3 days before the inoculation. Gentle extraction of grape flavors, tannins, and color were attained by spraying the cap twice daily during fermentation. Following fermentation we gently pressed the wine off the skins.

Aging

The wine was aged in French oak for 14 months.
