Nose

Fresh aromas of red currant, cherry, fig, and elegant bouquet of toffee and cinnamon.

Palate

On the palate, juicy berry flavor and supple acidity balance well while a silky texture and sweet oak notes linger long in the finish.

Winemaking

The grapes were hand-picked at the peak of ripeness. We destemed the clusters and then cold soaked for 3 days before the inoculation. Gentle extraction of grape flavors, tannins, and color were attained by spraying the cap twice daily during fermentation. Following fermentation we gently pressed the wine off the skins.

Aging

The wine was aged in French oak for 22 months.

Beautiful garnet in color.
