Nose

Our Malbec has aromas of red currant, blueberry, allspice and oak notes that lead to flavors of fig, boysenberries and pomegranate, with notes of fresh tobacco and earth.

Palate

Soft and round, with lush, chewy tannins and lively acidity with a long, smooth finish. French oak was used to soften the mouth feel.

Winemaking

The ripened grapes were hand-picked. The grapes were de-stemmed with a portion of the whole berries left intact, fermented with inoculated yeasts, and pumped over daily. After completion of fermentation the wine received a short extended maceration and was gently pressed. Malolactic (secondary) fermentation followed pressing and the wine was then transferred to French barrels for aging. The wine was racked multiple times during aging.

Food Pairing

Our Malbec pairs perfectly with grilled and roasted meats, cured ham and cheeses.
