Nose

Boasting a perfumed nose of black and Bing cherries, orange oil, baking spices, white pepper, and just a hint of leather.

Palate

The entry is incredibly silky and opens up to a seamless mouthfeel. Flavors of morello cherry, orange zest, sage, and cedar are prominent and persist through to a long finish.

Harvest

2018 showcased a cooler, more even season without much in the way of heat spikes or cold snaps. The canopies were healthy, full, and crop set was balanced. Overall, it was a classic and easy growing vintage that made really beautiful wines of terrific balance, intensity, and texture. Readily accessible upon release but will also age well. Terrific vintage basically for all varietals.

Winemaking

30% whole cluster fermentation. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Aging

Aged 18 months in 40% new French Oak barrels and 60% neutral French Oak barrels.
