Soil: Pale loam soils on top of fractured sandstone over good drainage and low water holding capacity.

Climate: The most northern growing region in California with heavy marine influence.

Cultivated on Mendocino County's Anderson Valley’s high eastern ridge, this remote vineyard is full of chunky, broken rock in thin, powdery soil similar to a Goldridge classification. The Outland Ridge Pinot Noir's vines strain to cling to the ridgelines yet produce deep, profoundly complex and age worthy wines.

Aging

12 months in 100% French oak, 42% new
