Harvest
In 2015, we had one of the earliest seasons ever. From bud break to harvest, we were about one month early on all fronts. Yet with this shift, the growing days were essentially the same as a "normal" season
Winemaking
Grand Reserve is a winemaker ’s blend of our mountain, ridge, hillside and benchland grapes grown along California’s cool coastal appellations. We hand select grapes from our best estate vineyards and then monitor, taste and guide each individual lot throughout the winemaking process. Each lot is kept separate, aged and crafted—boutique winery style. Our winemakers have an unmatched palette of flavours and terroir nuances from which they masterfully blend these exemplary rich, deep and complex wines. Precision harvesting, de-stemming, and pressing methods are utilized so the grapes are handled in the most delicate manner possible. All of our estate vineyards are certified sustainable by the CCSW (Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing ) and SIP (Sustainability in Practice) programs. Stainless steel cold fermented and bottled early to capture the fruit.
