Nose

Lush tropical fruit intertwines with lemon, lime and floral notes.

Palate

Elegantly layered, this Grand Reserve Chardonnay exhibits a rich texture and firm backbone with a hint of vanilla and spice to round out the long finish.

Growing Conditions

Santa Barbara County is renowned as being one of California’s coolest grape growing regions due to its unique east-west running valleys running along the coast. Santa Barbara’s cool, maritime climate results in a long growing season, with extended hangtime on the vines giving these grapes more balanced ripeness and intense flavors.

All of our estate vineyards are CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE by the Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing program, as we firmly believe that the highest standards make the best wines.

Harvest

2017 was an early season with a light to normal crop coming off several years of drought. Though the winter of ’16 and ’17 were quite wet, the vines had already set their crop back in spring of 2016 based on the previous drought year. Overall, the Santa Barbara growing season was fantastic, especially in the spring!
