Palate
Lively berry pie notes are defined in wild strawberry and black cherry, with hints of vanilla. Earthy aromas finesse this bright Grand Reserve Pinot Noir with forest floor and dried leaf tones, leading to a velvety finish and a longing for another sip!
Growing Conditions
Our Santa Barbara and Monterey County vineyards had a very pleasant growing season in 2014; it was long and certainly warm enough to ripen the fruit fully. The winemaking team loves vintages with rich fruit and balanced acidity! 70% of the wine is from the same vineyard blocks year-to-year, ensuring greater consistency and enhanced complexity with each vintage. The Monterey County hillside fruit delivers bright berry notes, while the south-facing vineyards in Santa Barbara County add structure and richness to the wine.
All of our estate vineyards are certified sustainable by the CCSW (Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing) and SIP (Sustainability in Practice) programs.
