Palate

This Grand Reserve offering is cold fermented, enhancing the natural, distinctive Sauvignon Blanc characteristics. The result is an expressive, crisp wine with notes of gooseberry, fig, grapefruit and starfruit. The nose welcomes you with a kiss of key lime and a wisp of juniper.

Growing Conditions

The Mendocino County sourced Grand Reserve Sauvignon Blanc tends to be from the same vineyard blocks year-to-year, ensuring greater consistency and enhanced complexity with each vintage. All our estate vineyards are certified sustainable by the CCSW (Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing) and SIP (Sustainability in Practice) programs.

Winemaking

We hand select grapes from our best estate vineyards and then monitor, taste and guide each individual lot throughout the entire winemaking process. Each lot is kept separate and crafted—boutique winery style. Made in stainless steel tanks to enhance the natural, distinctive Sauvignon Blanc characteristics.

2017 was a normal, but somewhat early vintage, yet very high in quality and concentration. The great weather, lead to development of excellent flavors and structure. Though it was an earlier vintage, the growing season was of normal length due to the early bud break.
