Nose
his Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon features aromas of black fruit, Bing cherry, dark chocolate, red raspberry, green olive and tobacco.
Palate
Spicy sweetness of oak, cedar, cinnamon, clove and a hint of black pepper. Full-bodied with a soft entry and great depth.
Growing Conditions
The winter was one of the driest on record for the Napa Valley. When we did get rain, however, it came right at the time the vines need it the most, promoting bud break and new shoot growth. The balance of the season was moderate to warm, the crop was abundant and the fruit ripened in most cases, a good two weeks early. Nothing to complain about, only thankful for a wonderful harvest yielding great wines with immense depth of flavor.
Aging
Aged in barrel 28 months in 60 gallon oak barrels, French oak (59% new)
Appearance
Opaque black ruby in color.
