Nose
The 2009 Bosché has a sweet black cherry aroma with integrated oak spice and black fruits. The complexity in the nose expresses green olive, aromatic cedar, walnut meat, mushroom and dark chocolate.
Palate
The flavor is big, voluptuous, soft and velvety, with great depth of black fruit. The tannins are well integrated providing a very long fruitful finish.
Growing Conditions
The winter rainfall was a continuation of the drought with only 2/3 of our normal rainfall. Fortunately, we had a mild spring, with less than 6 frost nights, preserving the precious water resources. The set was excellent, with an average plus crop size. After a brief warm spell in June, the balance of the growing season was very moderate to cool. The harvest weather was mild, giving us plenty of hang time to ripen the fruit slowly.
