Nose
Cassis, violet, minerals, game, espresso and smoke on the nose.
Palate
Dense and rather suave; less concentrated than the Howell sample but easier to taste today. Hints of chocolate and menthol to go with the dark berry flavors. “Typical Napa Valley fruit,” notes Randy Dunn.
Aging
Aged 32 months in 100% new French oak.
Appearance
Medium ruby.
