Palate

Our flagship wine, the Tradition Sauvignon Blanc elevates the purity of the variety through stainless steel fermentation and ten months of sur lie aging. The result is an expression of vibrant fresh grapefruit, young mango, white stonefruit and green apple fragrances. Our Sonoma County vineyards highlight the ideal characteristics for Sauvignon Blanc with mineral texture, brilliant acidity and a fresh finish.

Growing Conditions

The volcanic Mayacamas Mountain range runs 52 miles southeast from Mendocino County, shearing through Lake, Sonoma, and Napa Counties on its way. Rich in winegrowing history, winemaking in these mountains dates back to the 1860s. Captûre targets vineyards within Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, Spring Mountain District, and Lake County—appellations at the untamed edges of mainstream wine regions that see more wildlife visitors than human ones.
