Nose

Bright red fruit is apparent on the nose and the entry.

Palate

Abundant with inviting full and fresh black fruit aromas and a velvety soft and lingering finish, a true stand alone clone. Smooth tannins slide across the tongue, livening the mid-palate for an electric finish.

Growing Conditions

The de Coelo Vineyard, located 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean , is a 23 acre vineyard planted to 5 different clones producing 4 distinct wines, one of them being the Arbore Sacra, the sacred tree, block. Planted in 2008, the first harvest created this initial offering in 2012. The climate is of maritime influence remaining very cool and moist throughout the growing season. The soils are classic Gold Ridge soils with more clay substructure and the grapes are grown under Certified Demeter Biodynamic practices.
