Growing Conditions

2015 was a stellar vintage for Sonoma winemaking. A cool spring meant smaller grape clusters and resulted in lower yields than usual, while the quality of fruit was exceptional. Warm summer weather brought grapes to optimum ripeness before one of the earliest harvests in memory. The resulting wines show intense aromatics and complex fruit character.

Winemaking

A burst of cherry, black raspberry, and strawberry notes contrasted by hints of exotic spices on the nose open this highly aromatic wine. On the palate the wine is fresh and youthful. Flavors of ripe black fruits, plum, and a touch of cola nut highlight its rich texture, with firm tannins and surprisingly long finish.

Aging

Aged 11 months in 35% new French Oak barrels.
