Nose

Aromas of blackberry, black currant and powdered cocoa give way to notes of lavender, soy and herbs de Provence.

Palate

Texturally, the wine is expansive and concentrated, showing flavors of dark baker’s chocolate, dark cherry and caramelized vanilla. Tannins are round, lush and fine-grained, and excellent acid drives the wine through its fresh, long finish.

Winemaking

For Amici, the 2017 wine grape harvest will truly be remembered as a harvest of teamwork and dedication showed on all levels from our team, colleagues, friends and the first responders that saved our homes and livelihood. Almost all of our grapes were unaffected by the wildfires and this vintage is showing great promise with excellent quality, vibrancy and complexity to drink young or show through the years.

Aging

100% Stainless steel fermentation. Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak.
