Growing Conditions

The 2015 vintage endured early spring showers creating shatter during flowering but otherwise offered ideal weather—dry and temperate with few heat spikes— resulting in a low-yielding vintage that was hastened but with predictable growing events. Most notable the early rainfall made for naturally selecting, smaller crops of higher quality. Harvest was slightly earlier than usual with beautifully ripened fruit ready to pick in October.

Winemaking

The wine was barrel fermented and aged in 100% new French oak from Alain Fouquet. We produced just 225 cases of this wine that was bottled on February 3.
