A brief history
Tierra Roja is a vineyard in the heart of Oakville, where owner, Linda Neal, has farmed the red earth since 1987. The first release of a wine made solely from those grapes was the 2004 vintage. Due to very limited production, 250 cases, and the laws of Napa County, there are no tastings open to the public. The wine is available through the mailing list. Tierra Roja can also be enjoyed at many fine restaurants, listed on the website. Visitors may sign up to participate in Vineyard Clinics, held in February and April, for a fun, hands on experience of pruning and other vineyard skills.
