Nose
Swirling aromas of ground cinnamon, eucalyptus, tobacco and loam emanate in dense layers.
Palate
On the palate this wine has a really pleasing mouthfeel that is both sleek and structured, with a lush fruit core framed by a silky tannin profile that is even and consistent from front to back. Loaded with classic Cabernet Sauvignon notes like cassis, cocoa, sun-baked black fruit, nutmeg, and worn leather this wine is approachable now and with a few years in the cellar will age gracefully and develop into a finer expression of the vineyard.
Growing Conditions
2014 brought another year of record breaking drought with a growing season marked by small yields, small berries and some of the earliest pick dates on record but the quality of the fruit was outstanding; Dark color, intense aromatics, more concentrated, and great fruit character.
Appearance
In the glass this opaque-purple wine has a deep garnet halo.
