Palate
This deep opulent wine is full of rich texture offering dark, supple notes of ripe blackberry and black currant with hints of violets, clove and sweet tobacco.
Growing Conditions
The 2010 growing season began wet and cold with rainfall returning after three dry years. Then by late August a heat spike sent temperatures soaring into the triple digits. This relatively cool growing season coupled by the unexpected heat wave, resulted in a late and shortened harvest with lower yields. Meticulous vineyard management along with patience was rewarded with fruit concentrated in flavor, producing elegantly structured wines.
