On the palate, the wine has flavors of candied lemon, custard, apricot, and coconut with a fresh, bright finish. The wine is weighty, yet balanced.
These Chardonnay grapes come from the Haire Vineyard in Carneros, Napa Valley. The vineyard is planted to old Wente clone and Robert Young clone. The Wente clone produces small, flavorful clusters known as ‘beebees and baseballs’ with extra small berries mixed in between normal-sized berries. These smaller, seedless berries give extra flavor intensity to the finished wine.
