Palate
This classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is plush and powerful, filled with intriguing notes of espresso, graphite, fresh cherry, nutmeg and oak.
Growing Conditions
Without doubt the 2013 vintage is one of the finest in recent memory and possibly one of the finest in the history of wine growing in the Napa Valley. Only time will tell. Whereas the 2012 and 2013 vintages were marked with large yield increases on valley floor vineyards in Napa, our hillside and mountain properties were actually less abundant than average in overall tons.
Bottling
April 27, 2015
Aging
Barrel Aging: 18 months in Chateau-style French oak; 40% new & 60% 2nd year. Unfiltered and unfined.
Food Pairing
This Cabernet blend stands up to rich dishes like beef tenderloin or roasted lamb. But its natural balance also makes it a great pairing for less obvious choices such as slow cooked pork or Osso Buco.
