Growing Conditions
Our 2009 Scarpa hails from the steep inclines of the illustrious Pritchard Hill area of Napa Valley, where grape vines are about the only thing that can grow. Known for its famous Cabernet vineyards, the soils here are deep auburn in color, incredibly rocky and are also especially well-suited to Syrah, proving that Rhone varietals flourish in this climate as well.
