Nose

Palate
The palate has layer upon layer of lush extract and flavor, leading to a finish featuring pillowy, sweet tannins.
Growing Conditions
As Relic grows, we have the ability to frame unique characteristics into different bottlings of the same varietal. This cuvée is based on Clone 7 at Kenefick Ranch, in a block directly across the street from the illustrious Eisele Vineyard in Calistoga. The soils are of the same family: deep cobble of volcanic origin, giving the wine a concentration usually only found on hillsides, but the depth of rocky soil gives the wine the layered texture that only the best benchlands can achieve.
