Growing Conditions
The foundation of this wine is a special block at Kenefick Ranch adjacent to a very famous vineyard on Pickett Road in Calistoga. The soils here are deep, rocky and very well-drained, allowing the vines respite from the occasional heat, and accommodating hang-time to achieve perfect ripeness in the grapes. Kenefick is enhanced by an equally great site, Corona Vineyard, located above Oakville. Corona brings mountain structure and minerality to complement Kenefick’s lush, layered personality.
