Nose

Our 2017 Curated Collection North Coast Sauvignon Blanc opens with
bright and inviting notes of guava, orange blossom and citrus.

Palate

With a
fleshy mouthfeel on the mid-palate, flavors of sweet melon and cantaloupe
are balanced with a bright acidity on the finish.

Growing Conditions

The 2017 vintage marked the end of a 5-year drought. Harvest began early at a normal pace in many regions, and then progressed rapidly during a heat wave in late August and early September. Grapes ripened gradually in the cooler temperatures arriving in mid-September. In October, wildfires arrived at the end of harvest when 90% of the grapes were already in. The fires challenged the entire community, but Napa community is resilient and continued to move forward with a profound appreciation for everything we have.

Winemaking

The grapes are sourced from two prominent vineyards, our estate vineyard
in St Helena and a vineyard in the Sonoma Valley. St Helena is a warmer
site that brings out more of the peachy notes while the Sonoma Valley site
contributes more of the bright acidity that makes this a thirst quenching
wine on a hot summer day. Our 2017 North Coast Sauvignon Blanc was
100% barrel fermented in neutral French oak for 5 months utilizing a mix
of native and inoculated yeasts.

Food Pairing

This light, approachable
wine is a perfect pairing with mild cheeses such as Compté.
