Nose

Flavors of blackberries, chocolate and peppercorns. Mouth-coating yet silky tannins.

Growing Conditions

Planted in gravelly clay loam at 300 feet elevation on the Dry Creek Bench, these old Petite Sirah and Zinfandel vines date back to pre-prohibition.

Winemaking

Skin contact for 9 days produces the darkest of our wines.

Aging

19 months in French Oak, 40% new.

Rich, dark and brooding inky color.
