Nose
Deep, sensual, dark cherry, dark berry, black plum, mocha and vanilla aromas, blended with Merlot with its much more lovable soft, velvety fruit. It's one of the most aromatic wines of our Designates.
Palate
Complex, full, round and layered texture, it coats the palate with intense, black plum, cassis, currants, spice and toast.
Growing Conditions
Rancho Salino is one of our most prestigious vineyards. Benefiting from the rich, and red hill clay soils of the Moon Mountain, Rancho Salina sits high atop Sonoma Valley above the fog line at 800 feet. Breezes from the bay create a longer and cooler growing season. And, the Winemaking Team says this vineyard's Cab Franc just gets better each year.
Appearance
The 2014 Rancho Salina is dark in color.
