Growing Conditions
This is the third Single Vineyard Zin for the Lalanne family in over two decades. Persistence pays off. And the 2014 vintage is very deserving. 61 acres of hillside Zin located in Yorkville Highlands in Southern Mendocino County. The soil in the Yorkville Highlands is rocky with high gravel content, which provides excellent drainage. During the day, the climate is cooler than Alexander Valley but warmer than Anderson Valley.
Aging
Aged 19 months in French oak barrels, 20% new.
