Palate
Seemingly sweet, this wine is very round and full with lots of boysenberry, blackberry, and blueberry hints to it. The nice cool climate acidity gives the wine a good balance and structure. Enjoy its long, elegant, spicy finish that fills the palate beautifully.
Growing Conditions
The Belloni Vineyard is located in the cool Russian River Valley. The long, cool growing season results in wines that are gloriously balanced and integrated with concentration and finesse—as soulful and aristocratic as any Ravenswood Zinfandel. Huichica loam soil.
Winemaking
Native yeast fermentation in small open-top fermenters, manual punchdowns, 10 days skin contact.
Aging
19 months in French oak barrels, 25% new.
