Growing Conditions
Only grapes grown in our wide-spaced planted, low-yielding 33 acre vineyard on the estate are used to make O’Brien Estate wines. The grapes are hand-harvested, crushed and fermented in small batches in the winery adjacent to the vineyard and our home, then aged exclusively in French oak barrels (33% new for Chardonnay, 75% new for red wines, 100% new for Reserve reds). We take a minimalist approach to winemaking to allow the flavors created in the vineyard to be expressed in the wine as a unique signature of our unique terroir.
Our wines are only available to members. Sign up to be added to our waiting list.
Aging
