An extremely elegant and well-balanced wine packed with refined flavors of caramel, toffee, Bing and black cherry, sassafras, sarsaparilla, and a sweet-lactic creaminess that you often find in a great Burgundy. The wine has lovely, long flavor persistence, with a silky long finish. The bright acidity of the wine makes it refreshing and longing for another glass.
A portion of the grapes were grown in the cool temperatures of the Carneros region, which borders San Pablo Bay. The other grapes are from the even cooler regions of Atlas Peak, which sits at an elevation of more than 2,000 feet. All of the chosen grapes were fermented separately, and blended.
