Growing Conditions
Meander’s limited production is exclusively Cabernet Sauvignon from the world renowned Napa Valley. The wine is a blend of fruit from two historical vineyards, both of which have been family farmed for generations: Rutherford’s Morisoli Ranch and St. Helena’s Lewelling Vineyards. These coveted, iconic sites are two of the Valley’s most sought after by winemakers who craft the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon.
Harvest
Early morning harvest ensures cool fruit at the sorting table where clusters are hand sorted followed by destemming and gentle crushing.
Winemaking
Delivered to tanks, the grapes are then cold soaked prior to inoculation for fermentation. Daily punchdowns are supplemented with pumpovers during fermentation to extract maximum flavor and color. The wine is gently pressed and barreled down for malolactic fermentation.
Aging
Aged in 100% French Oak, 70% of which is new, for 22 months.
