Nose

2014 Marciano Estate bursts from the glass, boasting aromas of blackberries, black currant, juniper berry, black olive, and espresso.

Palate

Presenting with a soft, restrained entry on the palate, it builds gently and elegantly to a firm, lengthy mid-palate, laden with a symphony of well-integrated oak tannins that carry layers of bold, savory flavors through an extensive finish.

Growing Conditions

The 2014 growing season was another drought year, yielding an early spring and lengthy, generous summer. The combination of these conditions translated into one of the earliest harvests on record, which allowed us ample time to pick our grapes before the autumn rains arrived. This gave us the distinct luxury to pick at the optimum ripeness for our estate and the ability to craft wines purely representative of or our terroir and wine making-philosophy. Our 2014 wines are the epitome of natural elegance and purity of place illustrating the signature of Marciano Estate’s winemaking philosophy. The exceptional quality of our estate allows our winemaker’s gentle touch to encourage the inherent depth and finesse of the fruit. From bloom to bottle, these wines capture the essence of Marciano Estate. Marciano Estate represents, quite simply, the best wine that we produce each vintage. It took us years to get here. Years of experimenting, getting to know the land, the geology, the soils. Of letting the vineyard mature and understanding the vines and through them, how the site expresses itself. Produced in quantities dictated solely by quality, Marciano Estate represents years of striving for what can only be called a beautiful expression of a singular vineyard. Purchase requires account.
