Unforgettable opens with the rich, bright aroma of cherry cordial, followed by the deeper, darker bouquet of vanilla bean, espresso, and cocoa powder.
Palate
On the palate, a silky and voluptuous texture gives way to an opulent mélange of flavors: dark plum and blackberry, baking spices and molasses. With a lingering fi nish, this is a wine not soon forgotten.
Growing Conditions
The fruit for Unforgettable was harvested relatively late, on October 16, 2010, following a cool growing season. Spring brought greater than average rainfall and cooler weather than normal. The cooling trend continued throughout the summer months, lowering yields, but allowing for a long hang time and ripening period for the grapes. The resulting wines display balanced acidity and great complexity.
