Nose

Jolie continues to be the most delicate and oral of the Maggy Hawk wines with elegant aromas of tea leaves and violets with subtle notes of red plum and cranberry.

Palate

The palate reveals finely knit flavors of blueberry, raspberry leaf, baking spice, and rosehips. This is an alluring, beautiful wine that once again shows the beauty of Pinot Noir.

Harvest

After two extremely late, cool years Maggy Hawk benefitted from a perfectly balanced and moderate growing season in 2012. Harvested over 9 days, steeply sloped Block 7 was able to display the varied characteristics possible with the 115 Clone. The earlier picked sections provided the pretty oral and green tea elements of the blend while the portions picked 9 days later contributed the blueberry and plum notes.
