A brief history

Over 20 years ago, we began to look for a rural setting as a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city and careers when we came across a small home and piece of land in the Napa Valley. We planted our first Chardonnay vineyard in the Oak Knoll district, north of Napa. We now grow fruit on 17 acres in the Oak Knoll District and on 4 acres of steep, mountainside volcanic rock on Atlas Peak. Our first commercial release of Lobo was with our 2007 Pinot Noir. The remainder of our fruit is purchased by Lewis Cellars, Mumm and Pine Ridge and has also gone to The Prisoner, Robert Mondavi and more.

Lobo Wines are crafted at The Caves At Soda Canyon, where we are part owners. The winery is bored into the mountain top, at 2275 Soda Canyon Road, about 7 minutes from Soda Canyon Store on Silverado Trail. Private tours and seated tastings are available strictly by prior appointment. 707-224-8322 or info@lobowines.com
