Growing Conditions

The Levensohn Vineyard sits on the west side of St. Helena in one of the appellation’s most desirable neighborhoods for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The region’s warm climate and abundant sunlight is tempered by brisk, cool evenings, allowing grapes to ripen gradually without sugar getting ahead of flavor. This area is known for its rocky soils, and the Levensohn Vineyard itself is scored by veins of gravel that affect soil composition; the vineyard is planted to two Clones – 4 and 337 – to take advantage of this variation.

Appearance

Dense ruby/purple-colored.
