Nose
The blend reveals concentrated aromas of cassis, blackberry, and red currant as well as various bouquets such as toffee, nutmeg, and molasses.
Palate
The matured red berry flavor slowly develops on the palate and delectable oak notes melt into the elegant finish.
Winemaking
The ripened grapes were hand-picked. The grapes were de-stemmed with a portion of the whole berries left intact, fermented with inoculated yeasts, and pumped over twice a day. After the completion of fermentation, the wine received a short extended maceration and was gently pressed off.
Aging
The wine was then transferred to French oak barrels and aged for 22 months. The wine was racked multiple times during aging to obtain soft tannins.
